Services- Counseling
What is counseling?
Mental health counseling is a collaborative process where we work together to explore and address emotional, behavioral, and thought-related challenges. It provides a safe, non-judgmental space to gain insights and develop strategies for coping with life’s difficulties. The goal is to create lasting positive change by addressing the root causes of emotional distress and empowering you to build resilience, improve self-awareness, and develop healthier patterns of thinking and behavior.

Who is it for?
Chelsie primarily works with adults (18+) who are seeking to gain deeper insight into themselves, overcome challenges, and create positive changes in their lives. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, stress, or simply feeling "stuck," counseling offers a supportive space to explore and address these concerns. It is also ideal for those navigating life transitions, such as career changes, grief, or major life decisions. You don’t need to have a specific diagnosis, have any prior experience with counseling, or be dealing with a major crisis to benefit from therapy.

How is it effective?
Chelsie takes a trauma-informed, integrative approach to therapy, specializing in Mindfulness Based Somatic Emotional Processing (MBSEP), Brainspotting, and Reconsolidation of Traumatic Memories (RTM). In addition to these specialized techniques, Chelsie incorporates a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gestalt therapy, and Jungian psychology, to tailor each session to your unique needs. She also enjoys weaving in creative and experiential practices, such as inner child work, movement, meditation, breath work, sand tray, and art therapy, to enhance self-discovery and promote healing on a deeper level. Chelsie’s holistic approach empowers clients to connect with their bodies, minds, and emotions, facilitating lasting transformation and personal growth.

What can I expect?
Counseling sessions typically last 53 minutes and may include a variety of approaches, depending on your needs and goals. You can expect a blend of verbal processing (talk therapy), somatic awareness, and mindfulness practices to help you connect with your body and emotions on a deeper level. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, identify patterns, and work through any challenges or emotional blocks that may be hindering your progress.
